RS have done added a load of stuff over the last few days... DELL dual XEON servers upgrades to CPanel and ensim pro from other things They have also added the cool demodemo custom flasg tuotrials for i most CP's its all good and i think RS are doing alot to improve their services even more lately It will be nice to see even more coming from them in the future lets hope they keep expanding services Chris ___________________ ProWebUK || Professional web services || www.ProWebUK.com if video games affected us as children, then we would all be running around in dark rooms, munching magical pills and dancing to repetitive music! Well, according to Robert, they are paying it out of their pockets as a thank you to their customers. The Dual Dell Xeon was from a few months ago, it just has significally dropped in price. A lot of people think the Ensim Pro upgrade is a rip, Matt will be one to tell you so, simply because it's $40 per month, when it's what.. $239 so a lot of hardcore Ensim users are mad about that. Also, this coming May they will be starting to offer Win2k servers, so we may see RS using Helm and other panels before we know it that are Win based. ___________________ I'm glad to see them do it. We are paying 45/month for cpanel external cpanel licenses, why not go through rackshack for only 10/month until the end of this year, then 20/month after that. The price on the Dual Xeons are alot cheaper becuase 1) only one hardrive which is 73 gigs, instead of the dual 120gig hd. Yes the new ones are scsi so that is nice to have the speed. Also the old dual xeons were allowed 1000GB monthly transfer, the new ones are 400GB just like the other servers. I'm not an ensim user so the new ensim deal doesn't bother me. I'm glad to see they incoporated cpanel. The second Xeon plan still offers 1TB a month. Along with (2) 73GB SCSI Still an awesome deal. ___________________ yeah...50 bucks/month more for 600GB more transfer, an additional 73gb scsi, and 512mb ram...hard to believe you'd buy the smaller of the two for that price LH-AndrewStatus: Offline!
i dont really care for cpanel. Im just worried abotu the unlimited domain liscence for ensim pro thats $40 a month!!! ::angry:: ___________________ Matt was mad about that as well. Ensim pulled a fast one really, there is nothing new in Ensim Pro that you couldn't of done yourself with a few mods, and the i-face you could of changed yourself. That $40 a month will change around the end of this year, and Ensim may release another update before then, who knows. Someone said it's great cause it virtualizes every account now, when you can do that if you have simple shell knowledge and jail the accounts, but hey, I guess they think it's a big step. ___________________ prowebStatus: Offline!
as much as the functionality is not that different from ensim 3.1 the interface is alot better than previous ensim. and as some host dont chnage their skin then i suppose thats 1 improvement! I think ensim pro will get ensim more popular though as it has a nice theme as STANDARD....... and i think thats why most people dont like ensim that much........ im sure if ensim had come out with ensim pro earlier then ensim would have a much better name ___________________ ProWebUK || Professional web services || www.ProWebUK.com if video games affected us as children, then we would all be running around in dark rooms, munching magical pills and dancing to repetitive music! Ensim has a bad name not because of how it looked/looks, it's how it breaks if you don't know what you're doing when upgrading, you normally have to wait for them to release a patch before you can do ANYTHING, where with other control panels, that rule doesn't apply. ___________________ |
