free interfaces will never and i mean NEVER look as good as payment work OR your own work...cuz if ppl make for free they dont spend time doing it so they look crap...id check out some interfaces and see whats "hip" right now and then make something out of it...

even if you suck at design, you have to start somewhere. Admittedly, pre-made layouts look a lot better than a lot of stuff you could do at first, but then youll never learn... unless you dont want to learn, then free layouts are fine.
