Opinion??

Hey I would like an opinion.. Ive been messing around with a banner for a few hours and im not happy with what I got and not sure what to do to make it better. Any sugestions would be nice. Im a nooooobie.:confused:

the blue b/g thingie is too distracting, imo
maybe a more solid b/g with an image or somethin
also..the type on powergrid is fuzzy :/

Any examples? Its hard for me to work just out of the blue, its easy if I see an example and i follow the idea of it.

I can't show you an example, but that is the same thing I thought. The background seems to be more of the focus & then all of a sudden you see the text & don't really catch it cuz the background is kind of overwhelming. I am guessing that is why you have that black stroke around the text as well, you were probably seeing the same thing, just couldn't quite put your finger on it.

What would you sugest for a background? I want a catchy banner... I just have no idea what to do for the background, I put just a color and it seems too plane for me.

Well, I think that one would work fine, it is just a little too much.

Let me think on it for a bit. I didn't spend a ton of time looking at it.

Okay, here ya go. I didn't put any images in the background. Just used an arrow brush & made 4 rows of them. Just for a little texture.

Mind you I only spent 10 minutes on it, so I didn't really look for any good images, but it gives you an idea as to what we are talking about. You don't lose the message of the text in the image behind it.
