Transparent images... again

I know many people have asked before, but I can figure out how to make an image with a complicated background transparent.

Here's an example: (I just want the image and the vines)

Well, you should use the Pollygonal Lasso tool to make a selection around what you want. Then delete it.....

Yeah use the Pollygonal Lasso tool.. Remember that tool only comes with PS6 not PS7

But will it be percise? I mean I'm new to ps7 :confused: Isn't there like another step to make the edges smoother?

it might take a while with the lasso tool, but zoom in there about 800% and then try to outline it
