about your main page navigation menu

Hello. I was curious about your main page navigation menu http://www.absolutecross.com/tutorials/photoshop/

I have seen similar menus in Javascript, but i don't see many sites using the pictures in the menu like your site does. Could you direct me to any instructionals you used to make the menu on your main page. Or if you coded from scratch is there any chance you will open source it so i can find out how to include the pictures in the menu
