Serenity Visions - Introduction
Hi all.
I'm the girl on the block here, and I thought I'd introduce myself by showing my recently released, and not yet totally finished website.
There's some tweaking to be done on the preloading, and possibly menu (navigation) some more tutorial content and then I should be set. Basically I'm pleased with it, considering the way Version 1 looked like, lol.
I redesigned the thing 3 times (including all coding) before I finally got the feeling I should let the world have a look, I went from green, to bright blue, to white and green to now finally this, finally colours I actually like, other than what I thought would be "fashionable".
I'm prolly not gonna change many things at this point, but considering I design quite alot of websites, even just for the hell of it, any comments are welcome, live, learn, do better for my clients!

And yes, it's very robouk-tutorial'y - that navigation
Don't even go there, or I'll be forced to tickle you!

download time!!!
your preloading alot of graphics,
on a 56k modem here, your DL time is around 2 mins.
Maybe optimise your images a little more, or don't preload so many.
Overall a nice layout, clean graphics, good balance.

Yes, the download time is EXTREMELY long. I am currently waiting for the site to load as I type this.

Thanx guys - I like you ppl already *grin*
About that preload thing, I have a bit of an issue there, I'm torn, the ISDN/Modem people, who don't perticularly like preloading but not preloading and having them load on the page itself, might make that slow *ss ... *frowns*
Personally I've only tested it with people on Cable modems and ADSL, so you are a breath of fresh air, though this does mean it definately needs work on the preloading part.
I'm gonna have to choose between making people not preload, and wait on the images to load on the page itself.
Or ... get a seperate page, before the navigation, with a preload bar that indicates "time left".
Not sure which would please both cable and modem users though.

Very good, i agree with emo tho, the front page is really plain and the tooltips don't work in opera.
I the the rest of the site tho.

Hummzzz ... that Opera thing actually bothers me even more than the preloading ... considering the person who offers the script for that thingy you can't see, says it works with "ALL" browsers ...
One would think that includes non IE/NS browsers
As for that preload, I took it down by 50% ... that'll have to do untill I figure out what I prefer to do with it.
I rather like the simple navigation though .. don't wanna draw the eye off "too much" considering it's navigation and entrance, and not the main focal point, not for me anyway.
Thanks so far ...
