when i try to move something using the cursor keys (while holding shift) the object seems to snap to some kind of grid, even though i have not slected the 'snap to grid' option... should it not move one pixel at a time or something?
thanks

try turning the snap option "off" no just the grid. Things snap to the center of the document (hieght, width), and they snap to the document borders.
Hope this helps

grid?
Hi,
that's a built-in feature of Photoshop. If you hold down shift and use the arrow-keys, the movement of the cursor is indexed by 10px...
