really like the end result of what is made ther only i find it a really difficult explanation i'm stuck in the beginning i am a newbie so if anyone can explain it a bit simple

It says

"Now make a new layer, control click the path and fill the selection with a blue colour. Turn on preserve transparency and use the line tool (set to "create filled region")"

Now i knwo how to make the new layer and fill the selection only where do i set preserver transparency? and where is the line tool? i have Photoshop v6

you'll find the line tool with shapes and so on..., just press (U) and u'll know what i mean , and about "preserver transparency" i dont know where u can find it just look around

Thank you just found the line-tool just overlooked it i guess:confused: But still can't find the preserve trancepercy;)

In PS5 Preserve Transparency is a check box right above the eyeball in the layers palette.

So how can i do it in version 6 or is it not needed?

:confused: Another question about this tutorial it says.

"Now we are going to create the reflection - where the light catches the edge of our shape. Make a new layer - and create a clipping group with the layer beneath - this is done by option clicking the dividing line between the layers (for those of you who don't know)"

I don't know what a clipping group is and now i still don't know is this also changed in version 6

You need to learn to crawl before you can walk.

If you are new to photoshop, open the book, learn the tools, and where things are. Use some beginner tutorials like these...

They have some intro tutorials on the tools, layers, etc. Take some time to learn the basics, you will be glad you did in the long run!
