Sup,
Wow, this is an easy question. This shouldn't take long. I have a digital picture in Photoshop 6.0 and its in .psd format. I want to change it into a monocromatic color. How can this be done.

Thanks

like al one color? like a tone?
if so then just make a new layer, fill wiht desired color, and set the layer to overlay or screen.

or if you mean blakc and white monochrome. just go to image-->mode-->greyscale.

I have a similar question...I'm looking to make those neato monoschromatic-ish pictures where it's just black and another color. You can see an example at the Ropeadope website under the "Records" section. I'd like to know how to do something like the basketball player (Dr. J!) on the left side of the screen. Any ideas?

take a black and white picture and change all the white to the desired color.

you can also goto image--> adjustments--> desaturate...
and then try playing around with image-->adjustments--> variations

Or:

- Image->Mode->Greyscale
- Image->Mode->Duotone

Then pick some colors, you like, play with the dialog box, you'll get the hang of it.

all of those options lose the color data.. the way i do it, without losing the color data.. is just making a new layer, fill it with black, then change the blending mode to color.. or you could use a Hue and Saturation adjustment layer and just bring the saturation all the way down
