C/C Please!!! - //Tower Nine Studios v3

Here is the basic layout for version 3 of Tower Nine Studios, my freelance web development site. However, I'm not even sure if I like it at the moment, so please tell me what you think guys. I was going for a simple, professional look, but I think I might have overemphasized the simplicity, so please tell me your honest opinions including what I should change.

Also note that the Contact link is a different color as there are mouseovers and my mouse is over that TD.

Thanks,
Shane

P.S. I'm thinking aobut making the background of each of the TD's up top a semi-transparent (to be less hurtful to the eye) image of a different tower (with no rollover obviously). What do you think of that idea?

It's a good start Tower. I would try to spice up the header a bit more. I don't know why, but I really like the swoosh. I'm not too big on the navigation. It's a little plain, and I don't like how "web design" is on two lines. I would suggest changing the font on "Freelance web design", and maybe getting rid of the drop shadow...it makes it a little blurry. It's hard to comment on anything else until you have more content. It's a good start, with some more time it'll come along.

Thanks. Other than adding more content to make it further judgeable, what do you think I should add/edit on the header? Another thing I was thinking about was the space below the navigation and next to the bottom swoosh is a little empty or does it look ok? If not, what do you think I should add there? I'm just trying to get what the viewers like in the site, so keep the comments coming!

Thanks,
Shane

the nav font needs to be changed. you could use images instead of text also on the nav bar.

I have made a few layout changes as well as added a little bit of content on the homepage as an example with more changes to come soon. You may see the lastest version here.

uhm... A) never use that font, please, i beg of you.
B) put some borders on things, or it looks like the colors bleed
C) If you're trying to make this look 'professional', don't use any text decorations such as .: or :.

For users with high resolution it is. However, it does have a width of 780, making it usable for users with 800x600 resolution.

A) Ok, which font? Why's it bad?
B) Where do I not have borders seperating?
C) Good point, I will take those down.

Anybody else have some constructive criticism? Thanks.
