Parchment Scroll

I'm looking for a tutorial on creating an effect like rolled parchment paper. If anyone could explain it, I would be very thankful.

I have an example that I have attached.

look at it, study it and try to redraw it...its quite hard

I did this one several months ago...

Me and Firebrand did it. this is how mine turned out (see attachment)

What I did:

- got parchment colour
- selected a strip of parchment (about 6px wide and hight of parchment) and copied it
- (on parchment layer) I did Edit > transform > perspective, to make it look right
- then I rotated Canvas90*
- Filter > distort > Shear, so it bends
- ctrl + V for the rolled up side bit
- rotated pasted selection till it was good
- added shadows and highlights to rolled up bits by preserving transperant pixels and airbrushing
- added other details
- merged visible (all but bg colour layer)
- Ctrl + J
- edit > Transform > flip horizontal
- fixed up small details

done!
