Interactive CD Creation Question
Me and my art teacher are trying to design his portfolio basically its gonna be a Website.. but we want to setup an autorun to make a page load.. when the cd is put in.. are there any programs that do this for you or is there a way to do it? It is all basic .html pages
.. Jus gotta get a file to autoexec when the cd is put in...

You can't autoexec .html files, at least to my knowledge. You'll have to use a program like Director or Flash and save it as a standalone EXE.

make a file called "autorun.inf" in Notepad, and inside put this:
[AutoRun]
OPEN=yourfile.html
Then save it into the root folder of your CD... and it'll autorun if the user has told their computer to autorun CD's.
[edit] Vader, the code I gave will just run the file you tell it to, doesn't matter what file type it is.

Hmm, ok. I've tried it before, but it's never worked. Maybe it's my CD drive.

There is some software for interactive CD's.
Autoplay express is very good. you can make interactive menus etc, which, for an art teacher, would be ideal:o

wow i didnt know that cheers... then again windows xp runs almost everything on autorun anyway so ii dont need that cos all my m8s hav got xp...
