well im new at vector....
ok not sure if this is the right thread but oh well....i admire people that do vector illustrations and always wanted to ge tinto it myself...if you guys could send me some links on some good tuts and or articles on the basics of it that would be nice..thanks!

didn't want to open up a new thread concerning the same topic. i'm also new at vector and want to learn more and more... does anyone know any tutorials in vector art?

haha, people are always blown away by it but it's not very hard to do at all... I did all the vectors on this page in less than an hour or two

i could only suggest.. vectorize.de since they actually USE a vector program.. rather than some other tutorials i've seen that use photoshop or psp, which completely defeats the purpose of "vector" art..

do a search in google...lots of tuts out there...but I disagree (slightly...no disrespect) with rosem...tracing images can be simple...but there are very advanced and realistic looking images (see Illustrator WoW Book!) that can be made with illustrator. Almost every business logo you will ever see was created in illustrator, as well as very clean character drawings.
I wouldn't go as far promoting the idea that tracing isn't "ART" as was once done on a cover of Computer Arts Magazine...but illustrator can do much more...
