quick questions for the linux users, I've been thinking of dual-booting with linux, and I read a li'l bit bout Mandrake.. but cos there's so many diff versions floating about, which one would you recommend for a total noob? and what size partition would give it comfortable use? my HDD is only 14.5GB lol but I'm getting a laptop soonish so if me and linux have a happy relationship might ditch Win and run Linux on here, cos I was told linux is better and more reliable for d/ling, surfing etc, that true?

XP and 98SE at home, 2000 and OS X at school. Linux coming soon. For noobs, Redhat is probably the easiest distro.

I can beat it. I have the UNIX systems the AT&T servers use. In german.

i got windows 98SE, windows 2000 pro, and window xp pro, and windows 2000 server all on one comp
