What would be the best way to approach street photography? Shoot first then worrie about it after?
or introduce yourself and try to get a shot that doesnt seemed posed?

I would suggest taking your pics unnoticed if possible. You can get better shots if you can catch people off guard. Linda McCartney was a great photographer in this regard, walking along street with camera and moderate zoom lens to catch the "unexpected".

Thanks for all of the replys.
Well I have the day off this Friday, and Ive planned to go out and shoot some street, ive decided I will shoot both candid and with permission but who knows at this point. There is an avenue here where I live that has a lot happening its about a 6block stretch, and the plan is to hang out for the day and watch for interesting shots. I will post them when there developed and scanned.

Get a model release if you plan on doing anything with the pictures. It's the only real way to avoid problems. Verbal contracts mean moot. Get a signature.

Thanks Adras.

I'd love to see more posting here as well. Since many times graphics and photography go hand in hand. It does on my site anyways.

But what if you want to take a large picture of an event or a place where there are thousands of people?

To give you an example- there was a photo session with nude people. The photos were taken outside and were for a specific reason. The people gave permission for their photo to be used for that reason. An unscrupulous so and so then decided to post the same images on a porn site. Would you like your chgildren to be in a picture on a pedophile or porn site. i don't htink so. That's why the laws are in place.
