Glassy Bowl

Hey fellow artists, how's it goin'. A big prob. 4 yal ppl.. I've been bustin' my a$$ for the past few weeks tryin' to figure out how to make a Glass Rice Bowl. Applyin' the techniquez from the gel pillz tutorialz doesn't really do it and i don't have the time to go and figure it out with a 3D program, so I'm here to ask 4 sum help from u ppl, the PS Godz. oh, here's wat the rice bowl (not glassy) lookz like(attachmentz). Thanx

I think it very nice, all tho you can add a little LENS FLARE...

ah... Lens flares = velveeta. That's all I have to say.

try making the white bowl a dark blue and use the dodge tool from there, just experiment

Now that I think about it, it would be hard to make that bowl look glassy as-is. The "glass" look is defined by transparency and distortion of light, right? So it can only really look glassy if there's a (at least semi-)detailed image/background behind it. Right now there's a glow, so it'd be hard to do realistic glass.

Metal would be much easier, but it's not industrial rice!

I've tried the lenz flare thing, it really didn't work out well. i guess i'll just stick to wat i've now untill i culd come up with sumthin' better.
