Preloaders?

I need help making a preloader:confused: I tried the tutorial at help4flash, but after I get about half way through, i get confused then mess up. Can someone please help?

www.designsbymark.com has "flash week" lol, 15 new tutorials including a new preloader tut..... just dont go to the forum mmmmmmkay? its a unorganized buncha crap.
