Photoshop is much better, there's no reason to use psp instead. Unless you want to save $500.

Finally! There are great PSP tut sites out there.. but only a precious few which usually repeat the same effects anyways. Like 70% of all of them are soooo mediocre compared to the great Photoshop tuts that i could never try with PSP. Hopefully this forum will gather more photoshop-like tuts, because the tuts for PSP out there I have already seen can't help me anymore at all.

There isnt anything AT ALL spectacular about PSP, but its decent. Everything of mine ive made using it.

Ill actually be getting PS today, but ill still be a PSP user because there are a few things im sure PSP has that PS doesnt. but... i know there are lots of things PS has over PSP.

Yes price is one of the advantages to PSP but how many of you actually buy your stuff.

I think it just depends on what you use....
you use photoshop all your life you can be ood at it, same with PSP.

I hate it when people underestimate PSP, version 7 is as close to photoshop as any program gets. I'm pretty sure that theorically I could do all the same stuff with PSP that you all can do with PS, afcourse this depends on experience

programmerai: theres nothing "that good" about PSP, no one said its better than PS or anything. its just another graphics program.

I'd have to money for PS or I could be h4x0r or download it from somewhere but I dont want to. I started with PSP many years ago and I feel rather uncomfortable using PS (yes, Ive tried it many times.)

Yeah... i agree, i didnt think it ws powerful at first, then i discovered work by you and metatrox, when you said you only used PSP i was like wow, its just not as comen, still good.

Yay! At last a PSP forum. I love PSP and use it because it is a small trial DL. Then easily upgraded to the full version. I am getting a bit proficient with it. Hopefully this forum will help me. .

I agree on the tutorials, there are almost no good ones, and the good ones deal with simple effects no one cares about.

i think that paint shop pro has a lot of great potential that most of the time is under-estimated. I used paint shop pro until it got messed up and i made some stuff with it that seemed pretty good.
