The only ones I know are the Wacom ones (a tablet is something you draw on right?). They are about $90 US. Don't know what that is in £.

www.wacom.com

maybe not 50 quid, but worth saving the extra few pence to get one.

wacom appears to be the industry standard.

when considering what you want in a tablet, consider the actual drawing size of the active area and also the levels of pressure that the tablet can recognise from the pen tip. Also bigger tablets suit natural painters usually cos they allow more of flowing/larger brush stroke, but they take up a lot of desktop space, smaller tablets are cheaper but not normally as pressure sensitive.

Wacoms 8x6 seems to be the norm. I use a little graphire (5x4) and am very happy.

Good luck and you will be amazed at the extra control and detail you will get over using a mouose Smile

crooked: think about the difference of writing your signature with the mouse! not easy huh? now think about writing it with a pen (on a tablet)

For anything that requires precise control and brushstrokes, nothing really beats using a pen and tablet I am afraid.
